Migranodearena Awards Celebration

Yesterday, Monday October 4^th, we celebrated the X edition of the migranodearena Awards at the Auditori Axa in Barcelona.

The migranodearena Awards aim to recognize and reward people, social organizations and companies that have carried out successful crowdfunding campaigns through our platform. The winners are chosen by popular vote among the best crowdfunding campaigns of the year.

In this edition, a check of € 1,000 has been delivered to the best social crowdfunding campaigns of the year 2020:

1. Alberto López and Alberto Alemán with 3,521 votes was the winner in the category of “Most Supportive Person”. Alberto led a sports and solidarity challenge "Camino de Santiago Roller" with which he managed to raise € 9,215 in favor of the Association "Skate in Ethiopia".
2. In the “Most Active NGO” category, the award went to the Noelia Foundation, children against congenital muscular dystrophy due to collagen VI deficiency. They have managed to raise € 11,212 for the challenge "Move through research, move through Collagen VI". This candidacy obtained the support of 6014 votes.
3. Finally, the company CUVIV Business Services S.L. obtained the award for the "Most Committed Company" through "Activities in the SAP field aimed at promoting research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)". CUVIV got 1,414 votes, and raised € 2,736 that were allocated to Fundela.

The “Cause of the Month” Award was also awarded to highlight the work and effort of other organizations that fight for social causes.

We enjoyed the presentation by Ana Bella Estévez, a brave woman and an example of overcoming adversity. Woman survivor of abuse, mother of 4 children, who managed to channel and overcome her suffering by promoting the "Ana Bella Foundation to help abused and separated women." It was very emotional to hear his testimony and it certainly did not leave anyone indifferent. A clear example of courage and improvement.

Victor Küppers also accompanied us last night with a presentation full of positive energy. Inspiring and motivating words, where people's attitude is essential to continue fighting and putting grains of sand to improve people's lives.
