About the NGO

From the Bara Foundation we need you to support children, adolescents and young people in a situation of vulnerability and at risk of social exclusion.

We have seen that, however difficult their reality may be, they can overcome inequality, take advantage of opportunities and move forward, if they receive the support and support they need.

Each year, we accompany more than 140 minors in their growth process. When they feel welcomed and welcomed, their self-esteem improves and their attitude towards others and themselves, too.

We work with the child and their family environment to accompany them throughout the growth process and provide stable guidelines for all members of the Family Unit.

Schooling is only part of the educational process of children, adolescents and young people. Many of these minors need complementary support to be able to follow the studies with guarantees. Part of our task is to offer a space for school reinforcement so that they can consolidate the knowledge acquired in the classrooms of the school or the institute.

There are other moments that can favor the growth of children, adolescents and young people, such as socio-educational activities among peers, which include the management of emotions, the promotion of creativity and the development and internalization of social and thought skills (Learning to think for themselves).

The activities carried out by the Foundation in its facilities, or the cultural and educational outings in other spaces, are opportunities to work on habits of coexistence and respect. We offer a healthy snack, since many do not have this basic need covered. This space is yet another moment of relationship and accompaniment, where we work on habits of both food and hygiene and good manners.

Minors are full-fledged people in the growth phase. We want to help them lay the foundations for their future and prepare them to make their contribution to society.

The Bara Foundation accompanies more than 140 children, adolescents and young people between 3 and 18 years old through different initiatives: socio-educational activities during the school year, socio-educational activities during the summer, academic and work orientation, leisure time management, school follow-up, monitoring in specialized centers and accompaniment to external services.

Year after year the number of minors we accompany has increased and we need you to continue responding to this need.

La Fundació Bara és una organització no lucrativa que treballa, des de l'any 1981, perquè els infants, adolescents i joves en situació de vulnerabilitat i risc d'exclusió social en el nostre entorn, així com les seves famílies, puguin superar les desigualtats i construir-se un futur digne, ple d'oportunitats.

ON ESTEM.

La Fundació Bara està situada al centre de la ciutat de Reus i el seu àmbit d'actuació abasta tots els districtes municipals de la ciutat, des del nucli antic fins als barris perifèrics del municipi.

COM TREBALLEM.

Donem suport als infants, adolescents i joves en situació de vulnerabilitat i en risc d'exclusió social, i les seves famílies, en el nostre entorn proper. Hem comprovat que, per molt difícil que sigui la seva realitat, poden superar la desigualtat, aprofitar les oportunitats i tirar endavant, si reben el suport i l'acompanyament que necessiten.

Cada any, acompanyem més de 140 menors en el seu procés de creixement. Quan se senten acollits i acollides, la seva autoestima millora i la seva actitud en vers els altres i ells mateixos, també.

Treballem amb el menor i el seu entorn familiar per poder acompanyar-los en tot el procés de creixement i donar pautes estables per a tots els membres de la Unitat familiar.

La Fundació Bara és possible gràcies al suport de més de 50 persones voluntàries, i les col·laboracions públiques i privades d'empreses i entitats de l'entorn.

SOBRE LA TASCA EDUCATIVA I L'ACOMPANYAMENT.

L'escolarització és només una part del procés educatiu dels infants, adolescents i joves. Molts d'aquests menors necessiten un suport complementari per poder seguir els estudis amb garanties. Una part de la nostra tasca és oferir un espai de reforç escolar per tal que puguin consolidar els coneixements adquirits a les aules de l'escola o l'institut.

Hi ha altres moments que poden afavorir el creixement dels infants, adolescents i joves, com ara, activitats socioeducatives entre iguals, que inclouen la gestió de les emocions, el foment de la creativitat i el desenvolupament i interiorització d'habilitats socials i de pensament (Aprendre a pensar per si mateixos).

Les activitats realitzades per la Fundació a les seves instal·lacions, o les sortides culturals i educatives a altres espais, són oportunitats per treballar hàbits de convivència i respecte.

Oferim un berenar saludable, ja que molts no tenen aquesta necessitat bàsica coberta. Aquest espai és un moment més de relació i acompanyament, on treballem hàbits tant d'alimentació com d'higiene i bones maneres.

SOBRE LES PERSONES ATESES.

Els menors són persones de ple dret en fase de creixement. Els volem ajudar a posar les bases del seu demà, del seu futur i preparar-los per poder fer la seva aportació a la societat.

La Fundació Bara acompanya a infants, adolescents i joves d'entre 3 i 18 anys mitjançant diferents iniciatives:

Activitats socioeducatives durant el curs escolar.

Activitats socioeducatives durant l'estiu.

Orientació acadèmica i laboral.

Gestió del temps de lleure.

Seguiment escolar.

Seguiment en centres especialitzats.

Acompanyament a serveis externs.

La Fundació Bara acompanya a les famílies dels infants, adolescents i joves que participen en els diferents projectes mitjançant les següents iniciatives:

Orientació i seguiment familiar.

Assessorament d'habitatge.

Assessorament econòmic.

Assessorament socioeducatiu.

Assessorament jurídic i laboral.

Alfabetització digital i gestions telemàtiques.

Acompanyament a serveis externs.
