The VICON Method was born from the experience of two professionals who, treating children with problems in the development of language and communication, felt the need to develop a professional and proven stimulation method. The method aims to help all families and professionals to overcome the obstacle, dependence and isolation that accompanies many children with this reality in our society.

We have created an instrument that stimulates verbal language and that meets the needs of many children with such a particular learning style and who require highly sequenced and programmed teaching. Combining methodologies to develop a tool that fits this profile with unique, motivating, and accessible material.

New technologies are the preferred way of learning and combined with music and repetition they provide us with an effective perceptual, visual and auditory tool. A trinomial that has turned out to be the option chosen by the children themselves to achieve motivating and natural learning. Music will help us introduce a systematic sequencing of content divided into small videos, which accompany the child in language development. Images, dramatizations and the didactic application of concepts enhance motivation, attention, imitation and memory, a necessary basis for meaningful language learning.

VICON Method has been tested by 36 families with the most demanding public we know, the reference disability in lack of communication, socialization and language: Autism Spectrum Disorder. Choosing children between 3 and 9 years old, we selected 36 non-verbal children from all over Spain to investigate the effectiveness of the tool. The exposure was systematic, initially from the music as a preparation for the method and then to 20 videos in its initial phase.

The research results have indicated that:

98% of the children have accepted the videos, they have been happy and motivated by their exposure.

78% of cases have evolved significantly with respect to the initial language levels. Increased motivation for learning. Improvement of attention and imitation. Development of communicative intention, spontaneous language and social communication.

With the certainty of the effectiveness of the treatment, we have decided to go one step further and create this CHALLENGE by developing the second Phase of the method to be able to welcome 1000 children in the coming months until April 2, 2024. We believe that it is our responsibility to do what is in our hands and on behalf of the families, we ask for your collaboration by contributing your grain of sand. Many hands to be able to give them the opportunity to have another life.
