LLOBREGAT FOR DIABETES 2026

AREDI (Association for Diabetes Research Support) works across Catalonia to advance scientific research into type 1 diabetes and to improve the quality of life of the people living with it, especially children and young people who have recently been diagnosed.

Llobregat for Diabetes is a solidarity movement that brings sport and a cause together: covering the 180 km of the Llobregat river on foot, from its source in Castellar de n'Hug to its mouth in El Prat, over 3 stages and 3 days, joined along the way by heroes, teams, and entire towns.

Every euro raised by Llobregat for Diabetes 2026 will go directly to AREDI, to be used for:

• Funding scientific research projects into type 1 diabetes
• Helping patients access active clinical trials in Catalonia
• Supporting families with recently diagnosed children and young people
• Raising public awareness of what it means to live with type 1 diabetes

Along the route, municipalities, sports clubs, and individuals will each add their effort to one shared purpose. Every km covered, every donation, brings us a little closer to a cure.
