Hi!
We are Eric, Oliver, Eve, James, Jonathan and Paula. Each of us comes from a different part of the world, but two things have brought us together: Science and sports.
All of us are PhD students at the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute. Our projects are very different, from basic science studying the mechanisms behind cancer development, to the development of therapies to treat people with leukaemia and other hematological diseases.
Now, we have decided to face another great challenge together, aiming to bring the fight against leukaemia one step further: We will participate in the Olympic Triathlon of Barcelona, our first ever triathlon! On the 3rd of November, each of us will complete 1500m swimming, 40 km cycling and 10km running.
Together, we have decided to dedicate this challenge to the research against leukaemia, as well as the fight of all those people who suffer from this disease. We would like to invite you to collaborate with us on this big challenge by making a donation to the Josep Carreras Foundation.

La Fundación Josep Carreras lucha contra la leucemia a través de 4 grandes áreas de actividad: la búsqueda de donantes voluntarios de médula ósea para pacientes que no disponen de un donante entre sus familiares; la investigación científica; el apoyo para la mejora de las infraestructuras hospitalarias y los servicios sociales a pacientes.
