ONLY THE BATTLE WHICH IS ABANDONED IS LOST... ONLY THE PATIENT WHO IS ABANDONED IS LOST.
We want to start the year 2024 on the right foot and invite you to take your step towards Chanceline!
"YOUR GIFT, HER FREEDOM....YOUR HELP, HER DIGNITY”
OBJECTIVES
The most important goal of the foundation is to train local doctors and orthopedic technicians so that they can be the ones to get children in their own villages and communities on their feet. For this reason, this project will be realized entirely in Africa. The prostheses will be manufactured in Dakar with local materials by a Senegalese orthopedic technician under the supervisions of an orthopedic surgeon from Chad who resides in Dakar.
PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING us to carry out this project. You will be able to follow our expedition day by day until we meet our goal. This is key to the future of Chanceline. Her gratitude will come to you with her smile, which will help you start the year 2024 on the right foot.
In addition, we will give you a very special gift: A thank you message as you will see the first steps taken by Chanceline in 2024 among mangoes and baobabs.
TIMETABLE/ACTION PLAN
Dr. Garcia-Elías and Fina Sensada will travel on December 20, 2023 from Barcelona to Dakar to supervise and complete the production of Chanceline’s prostheses by the orthopedic technician Mr. Phillipe in his orthopedic workshop in Dakar. It is being made with local materials coordinated by the Chadian orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Djilouba, residing in Dakar.
On January 1, 2024, the four member team will travel from Dakar to N'Djamena until they reach Moundou, in the South of Chad and place and adapt the prostheses to Chanceline.
Once this goal has been achieved, a week of training will be given to orthopedic technicians from Chad so that they can learn how to manufacture modern, lightweight prostheses with local materials. In this way, we can optimize our expedition to Chad and help many more children to get back on their feet at the Notre Dame de Paix (NDDP) center for the disabled, where the orthopedic workshop is located.
DIRECT BENEFICIARIES: Chanceline; 15 NDDP orthopedic technicians and their patient roster; and 150 children and adolescents in need of orthopedic interventions of which the NDDP Center receives numerous requests annually.
INDIRECT BENEFICIARIES: Chanceline’s family (45 people) and more than 1000 families from the Western Logon region, Chad, Cameroon and surrounding areas.
To make this possible we would need €28,050
This orthopedic intervention and training expedition to the NDDP center will be financed entirely by FFF with donations from this crowdfunding.
With your contribution, you can finance the part of the budget that is most meaningful to you- Chanceline’s prosthetics; training local doctors and technicians; food, travel and lodging expenses for the team as per below budget.
