Who are we? We are good friends… very good friends. Martina is a midwife in North London from Catalunya and probably one of the tons of Catalunya’s people that don’t fit into the stereotype of being “ungenerous”. Ale works in London as RevOps Mg, basically an office job in a Tech company, from Colombia who doesn’t fit into the bad stereotypes but probably the good ones, easy-going, buena gente, like coffee.. those things!
Why this page? – Well, we’ll be sharing pics on social media, probably lots of them, so we thought let’s use it for a good cause, and that cause is to give visibility to the ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). ALS “involves degeneration of motor neurons that control muscles, causing muscle wasting and loss of voluntary muscle control. ALS eventually leads to an inability to breathe and ultimately death”. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS, and the number of patients with ALS is expected to grow a 70% worldwide by 2040
Why ALS? – Unfortunately, this disease has affected a family member of a very close friend... THE friend who introduced us. The “Cupido” who made our paths cross thus possible sharing adventures such as hiking the Kilimanjaro, or at least trying!
At present, ALS has no cure, so all your donations are going to “Dale CandELA” an NGO funding ALS disease's research and support for people with ALS.

Fundada en Julio de 2019, dalecandELA es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro cuyo objetivo es la lucha contra la Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA) mediante la organización de eventos y venta de artículos, cuyos beneficios se destinan a la investigación para encontrar una cura así como a la ayuda a quienes la padecen. La donación directa es otra de sus fuentes de ingresos.
Con un espíritu y mentalidad positivas como sello identitario, desde dalecandELA se transmiten valores como el esfuerzo, la superación, la actitud positiva frente a la adversidad, la generosidad, amistad, solidaridad y las ganas de disfrutar de la vida a pesar de los reveses que se presentan en el camino.
