The give books, give dreams campaign, which is promoted by Entreculturas aims to deliver 36.000 books to children in these three countries of South America: El Salvador, the Dominican Republic and Peru.
With this new goal, the NGO places itself once again before education as the engine of change and social justice.
The arrival of these books in three countries of South America will allow thousands of children to grow internally through reading practice and go towards equal opportunities. For the reason that education is the human right that fights against inequalities and is key to accessing the rest of fundamental human rights.
The campaign is attached to MiGranodeArena crowdfunding platform, where donations will be collected up to the 20.000 euros that have been required to ship the books by maritim transport. The initiative, which was created from a donation made by the Casals publishing house, will allow children living in disadvantaged social contexts to "travel from home" through stories, acquiring new habits and by forgetting for a time of the everyday life by their imagination and fantasy world. Moreover, reading is a fundamental tool for the development of empathy as well as for the work of empowering societies and for sure, for the construction of a critical-thinking citizenship.

Para ello defendemos la educación como derecho humano, trabajamos por la vida digna de las personas migrantes y refugiadas, y apostamos por la construcción de una ciudadanía global comprometida, la equidad de género y la reconciliación con la naturaleza.
Las personas que integramos la organización buscamos contribuir al desarrollo de los países y comunidades más vulnerables, apelando a valores como la solidaridad o la igualdad de derechos e implicando a todo tipo de actores (ciudadanía, empresas, gobiernos, etc.) que tienen su parte de responsabilidad ante los desafíos globales de nuestro tiempo.
