Nepal necesita ayuda

Nepal ha sufrido recientemente fuertes inundaciones, lo cual ha obligado a dos millones de personas a abandonar sus hogares. Es urgente actuar para ayudar a las víctimas a las que no se les ha dado comida, refugio ni medicamentos.

¿CUALES HAN SIDO LAS CONSECUENCIAS DE LAS FUERTES LLUVIAS EN NEPAL?

En realidad, en Nepal hay cada año un monzón con fuertes lluvias. Esto trae muchas inundaciones por todas partes en el país. Este año, al igual que pasara con el terremoto del 2015, el gobierno nepalí no pudo abrir todas las presas del río porque si esto ocurriera, los problemas de inundación ocurrirían en los territorios más cercanos de India. Es por ello que la zona sur del país, llamada Terai, ha sido totalmente destruida.

Las personas que viven cerca del lado del río Rapti se ven afectados en su mayoría.

¿QUIEN RECIBE EL DINERO?

La ONG receptora del dinero es ANIKO SANSAR KO SATHI. Se trata de una ONG que colabora continuamente con voluntarios de España, Francia, Inglaterra y Chile, los cuales han estado en la zona colaborando con diversas de las tareas que desempeña. Esta organización se estableció en el 2014 con el objetivo de trabajar en varios campos de actuación:

- Proporcionar becas para los niños pobres y necesitados de la zona de los barrios marginales. Proporcionarles todo lo necesario para que puedan asistir a la escuela y poderse labrar un futuro.

- Apoyar a los jóvenes para que alcancen su objetivo, proporcionándoles la educación superior o las competencias y la formación profesional necesaria para hacerlos independientes.

- Organizar el trabajo de reconstrucción de las escuelas y casas afectadas por los desastres naturales.

Apoyar a los niños huérfanos con alimentos y educación.

¿PARA QUE SE USARÁ EL DINERO? 

El dinero se utilizará para distribuir la comida, ropa y medicinas. Y si es posible, si fuéramos capaces de reunir los fondos suficientes, utilizaríamos también una parte para reconstruir las casas destruidas de las familias pobres que han sido evacuadas y se han quedado sin nada.

El área dónde se actuará es Chitwan Occidental en el punto medio del río Narayani y Rapti. Hay en total de 1083 casas, de entre las cuales 108 casas se han visto afectadas y 15 de ellas han sido totalmente destruidas.  Esta área todavía no ha recibido ningún tipo de ayuda. Los habitantes están a la espera de que el gobierno ayude pero esto tardará mucho en ocurrir si ocurre. Es por eso que recurrimos a las nuevas tecnologías para tratar de recaudar lo máximo posible y ayudar así a la gente que realmente lo necesita.

Nepal has recently suffered  a heavy flooding, which has forced two million people to flee their homes. It is urgent to act to help victims who have not been given food, shelter or medication.

WHAT WERE THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE STRONG RAINS IN NEPAL?

In fact, in Nepal there is a monsoon every year. This brings floods everywhere in the country. This year, as with the earthquake of 2015, the Nepalese government was unable to open all of the river's dams because if this happened, flooding problems would occur in India's closest territories. That is why the southern part of the country, called Terai, has been totally destroyed.

People who live near the side of the Rapti River are mostly affected.

WHO RECEIVES THE MONEY?

The NGO receiving the money is ANIKO SANSAR KO SATHI. It is an NGO that collaborates continuously with volunteers from Spain, France, England and Chile, who have been in the area collaborating with various of the tasks it performs. This organization was established in 2014 with the objective of working in several fields of action:

- Providing scholarships for poor and needy children in slum areas. Providing them with everything they need so they can attend school and be able to work out a future.

- Supporting young people to achieve their goals by providing them with higher education or the skills and vocational training necessary to make them independent.

- Organizing the reconstruction work of schools and houses affected by natural disasters.

- Supporting orphaned children with food and education.

HOW WILL THE MONEY BE USED?

The money will be used to distribute food, clothing and medicines. And if possible, if we were able to raise enough funds, we would also use a part to rebuild the destroyed houses of poor families that have been evacuated and have lost everything.

The area where we will act is West Chitwan at the midpoint of Narayani and Rapti. There are a total of 1083 houses, of which 108 houses have been affected and 15 of them have been totally destroyed. This area has not received any help yet . The inhabitants are waiting for the government to help them but this will take a long time to occur if it happens. That's why we turn to new technologies to try to raise as much as possible and help people who really need it.
