Hello! I'm Cristina, and I want my kilometers in 2026 to have a greater meaning: to run for children at risk of social exclusion through the Fundación Soñar Despierto (Dreaming Awake Foundation) in Catalonia. With this in mind, I have set a goal to run the circuit of the six Super Halfs in 2026, from March to November. It won’t be easy, but I’m willing to give my all for this cause.
Five years ago, I became a mother, and since then, I feel closer than ever to causes related to vulnerable childhood, so I started collaborating with the Dreaming Awake Foundation. Running has been my passion for years, and although I took a break for my two pregnancies and to focus on my babies, I picked up running again a year ago, and I’m in my best shape. Approaching 40, and with this challenge in mind, I want every one of my running steps to count for something more. I aim to run the 6 super half marathons not just as a personal challenge but as a way to contribute to the future of those who need it most. Because every child deserves to dream on equal terms.
The Dreaming Awake Foundation has been supporting children in care and former foster youth for years, providing educational, social, and emotional support to help them build a dignified life. Their programs include academic reinforcement, mentorship, educational leisure, and training scholarships, and they are active in Catalonia, transforming realities with commitment and care.
My goal is to raise funds that will be allocated to these programs. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference: offering reinforcement classes, supporting a former foster youth with their studies, or facilitating healthy leisure activities that build self-esteem and community.

Soñar Despierto es una Fundación con presencia en Barcelona, Madrid , Valencia y Sevilla que desde hace más de una década colabora con los centros de acogida donde viven menores que, por diversos motivos, han tenido que ser separados de sus familias y han pasado a ser tutelados por el Estado.
El objetivo principal de Soñar Despierto radica en conseguir que todos ellos cuenten con las mismas oportunidades que el resto de niños de su edad, independientemente de las circunstancias que les han tocado vivir.
