Jivamukti Yoga Class for Indigenous Peoples

On May 27 at 7:30 p.m. I will lead a Jivamukti Yoga class in Templo Satya (Madrid) during the event "Muévete por Survival 2023" to raise funds for Survival International, the global movement for indigenous peoples, nature and all The humanity.

There are currently more than 370 million indigenous people in the world. They are generally self-sufficient and depend on their land for their health and well-being. For indigenous peoples land is life, but they are subjected to racism, land theft, imposed "development" and genocidal violence. Their human rights are violated on a daily basis. Their land and resources are taken from them for economic gain despite the fact that this land theft is a crime under international law.

The world needs indigenous peoples. Despite being 5% of the world's population, they protect 80% of global biodiversity. These communities are the true climate leaders. Survival International's job is to prevent their annihilation. They work in partnership with indigenous peoples, giving them a platform from which to address the world.

We need your support to achieve a radical change in public opinion that guarantees them a future. Help us combat one of the most urgent and tragic crises of our time. Indigenous peoples need you.
