Can you imagine becoming pregnant at a very young age and being forced to leave school, your home, and sometimes even your family?
In Mbita, Kenya, many young women face motherhood completely alone — without resources, without a safe place to live, and without support to care for their babies.
Pregnancy is still one of the main reasons why young girls drop out of school, putting their education and future on hold. Without a place of refuge, these young mothers and their babies are left in extremely vulnerable situations.
At Asociación Malaika, we want to change this reality by taking the first step toward building a safe home for young mothers and their babies in Mbita, Kenya — a place where women can go through pregnancy with support, dignity, and care, and where babies can be born protected and safe.
To make this possible, we aim to raise €20,000 in 40 days, which will allow us to begin the construction of this home.
