About the NGO

Hi,

My name is Nils Oro, a 16 years-old student at the American School of Barcelona. I want to create a scholarship to support at least one kid for a year at the LAMSA academy in Ghana. I would like to institute this scholarship as a yearly fundraiser.

Eric Otabil was a 9-year-old child who passed away from a sudden stomachache on March 12th, 2025, in Ghana. Eric was a player at Lamsa, recognized for his sweet, hard-working and playful character.

Lamsa, www.lamsaghana.com, is "a football academy and non-profit organization dedicated to giving over 90 young players living in a Liberian refugee camp in Ghana the chance to build a brighter future, both on and off the pitch".

Eric Otabil's scholarship will cover the education, sanitary insurance and related costs, and daily meals of a child during a year through Lamsa. The estimated cost is around 800€:

60€ health insurance and costs.
175€ education.
570€ meals.

Lamsa will award the scholarship/s to a child they recognize embodies Eric's character and is in need of this support.

Hola, Somos Luis y Max y hemos fundado LAMSA; una academia de fútbol en Buduburam, un campo de refugiados liberiano en Ghana.

Tenemos más de 80 jugadores entre 8 y 15 años. En un entorno de pobreza extrema y pocas oportunidades, el fútbol es la ilusión y esperanza de todos los niños.

Queremos mantener lo conseguido hasta ahora (agua cada entreno, una comida semanal y material), abrir la nueva Casa LAMSA dónde los jugadores que más lo necesiten podrán vivir y aplanar el terreno del juego en el que entrenan.

Ayúdanos a que los niños de LAMSA puedan jugar a fútbol en condiciones decentes además de tener acceso a agua potable, una nutrición digna y medicación básica.
