Racing my bike across Iberia for mental health

Approximately 3 out of 100 people will experience psychosis at some time in their lives.
This year it was our turn. We are riding the rollercoaster of recovery to a new future and we continue to discover each day how many people are impacted and suffering. One thing we have clearly understood is that it is a long process, and requires a multitude of people to support and help. AMAFE is an organization built on over 30 years of experience assisting families ride their own rollercoasters.
I am riding across Spain to raise awareness & funds to support them. The race is a significant undertaking (1,720 km un-supported with over 30,000m of ascent). I have been training and just by getting to the start line on the 25th Sept 2022 will be an achievement for me to celebrate. I hope you will support and I respectfully ask that all funds pledged are honored even if I don’t manage to complete the challenge. Thank you for supporting me and AMAFE.
Making the donation;
For people who have a Spanish DNI/NIE/NIF there is no limit of donation, you can donate from one euro by card, paypal or bizum. When they make their donation, they will receive in their private profile the tax certificate for the corresponding tax relief.
For people who do not have a Spanish DNI/NIE/NIF, they can only make quick donations up to a limit of 99 euros. These people will not receive the tax certificate of the donation.
For people who do not have a Spanish DNI/NIE/NIF and want to make a donation of more than 99 euros. They can,
1. make several donations under the limit of 99 euros or
2. make a bank transfer or deposit. In this case, the amount will also appear in the challenge, your name will appear and you can leave a comment. Everything is exactly the same as if it had been done on the web, the only difference is that we upload it manually. In the CONCEPT you have to put 'DICK AYRES', so that we know that this money is for your campaign. Once the transfer is made, send an email to esperanza.alvarez@migranodearena.org with the following data:
- Amount donated
- Proof of the transfer
- Name of the donor and if you want your name to appear on the donation or if you want the donation to be anonymous.
- Donor's mail and postal address.
- Comment, in case you want it to appear in the challenge. Anonymous donations cannot leave a comment.

Los problemas de salud mental siguen teniendo una consideración social muy negativa. Para quien recibe un diagnóstico, es realmente complicado hablar de ello. La Asociación AMAFE nace, hace más de treinta años, para que quienes han tenido experiencias psicóticas, así como sus allegados, tengan un lugar donde poder compartir todo lo vivido sin sentirse juzgados. Un espacio desde donde poder crecer y reivindicar los derechos de muchas personas que aún hoy viven silenciadas por tener un problema de salud.
Somos una entidad sin ánimo de lucro, declarada de utilidad pública que, desde hace más de treinta años, dirige todos sus esfuerzos a conseguir la inserción plena en la sociedad de las personas con psicosis y esquizofrenia. Gracias al apoyo de nuestros socios y de diversas entidades públicas y privadas, conseguimos desarrollar y sostener una red de servicios que apoyan a la persona afectada y a su entorno cuando lo necesitan.
