Hello! My name is Miguel Sumpsi. Since 2017, I travel to Cambodia with PSE Pour un Sourire d'Enfant to be part of its School Continuity Program every summer. The program exists since 2003. During school vacations it provides the protection, assistance and education that PSE offers during the rest of the year to more than 3000 PSE students.
In 2023, I am coordinating a complementary and fundamental part of the program: the Construction Project. It supports the community construction of basic housing, with structural integrity, access to water and sanitation, and legal ownership of the land. Proper housing, ensures the most basic needs to guarantee good health, social integration, access to quality education and human dignity.
This year we want to expand the number of families we assist in the construction of their homes; our goal is to help 5 families to build their homes during the month of December!
To achieve this, we need to raise the necessary funds to build the foundation, the structure, the roof, the façade and a water and sanitation facility for each house. This amounts to a goal of 5.000 €, 1.000 € per house, although each house may vary in price depending on location, material and size.
