n recent years, self-harm and psychiatric admissions have increased by more than 1200%.
Suicide is now the leading cause of death among adolescents.
Faced with this reality, at Educaclown we work to emotionally support young people admitted to mental health units, using theatre and improvisation as creative tools to express, release, and transform pain into hope.
Since 2018, we have been present on a continuous basis in different units, creating safe spaces where adolescents can explore their emotions, regain trust, feel heard, and share through creativity.
Each session aims to ease emotional burdens, open paths of expression, and offer a kinder outlook towards themselves and others.
Art becomes a language that connects, liberates, and helps to believe once again in a life possible beyond pain.
This work is carried out in collaboration with professional teams from the centres and is sustained thanks to the support of people like you.
