Hello! Today I want to tell you about an incredible project that is changing lives in the Dominican Republic: GLOBAL VETS AID. This collaborative effort is not new, as it has its roots in similar initiatives carried out in February 2022, as well as in November 2023 and 2024.

Its main goal is to provide essential care for abandoned dogs and companion animals belonging to people living in poverty in the country’s bateyes.

The core activities of GLOBAL VETS AID include rabies vaccinations, sterilizations, and other preventive treatments. But the impact of the project goes far beyond animal care. It also focuses on training and raising awareness about health within the framework of ONE HEALTH, a concept that recognizes the connection between the health of people, animals, and our ecosystems.

To make these actions possible, fundraising is essential. The funds are used to purchase supplies such as sutures, surgical drapes, catheters, and other materials, in addition to the medications required for sterilizations. Every contribution makes a significant difference, allowing the project not only to continue but also to expand its reach and deepen its impact.
