"Sports and refugee women", solidarity webinar for gender equality in sport

The A.E. Ramassà, NGO and football club ambassador of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, proposes a program in national and international territory of access to sports for girls and boys at risk of social exclusion, also promoting education in values.

At national level, the club is working on the creation of an inclusive female team that will welcome recently arrived girls, in situations of asylum request and / or refugees from the Vallès Oriental region (Barcelona). Social inclusion and gender equality are worked on, and the reception and integration of girls will be promoted.

At an international level, the club has set up a football academy and training center in the Etetack neighborhood of Yaoundé (Cameroon), in which girls, boys and adolescents at risk of social exclusion can practice football, in addition to facilitate their access to education. Girls and boys are trained in values ​​and gender equality is worked on, thus facilitating their social inclusion in the communities where they live, and reinforcing and empowering neighborhood structures.

To support these projects, on December 10 at 7:00 p.m., by Zoom, the solidarity webinar "Sports and refugee women" will be held.

With the participation of several representatives of internationally renowned organizations, some of them also social and human rights activists, we will talk about the role of refugee women, recently arrived and / or seeking asylum, in sports.

The initiative will serve to learn about the different projects of the participating entities that work on gender equality in sports. At the end of the presentations, a debate will begin among all the panelists on the most common problems and the most important challenges to be achieved in the coming years.

The objective, to promote gender equality in sports practice and to get at least 2.000€ to improve our projects. Can you help us?
