The Mediolanum Foundation in Spain supports the work of charities that help children achieve a brighter future. On this occasion the foundation is supporting DEBRA, the Butterfly Children Charity through the “Art & Solidarity” event organised by the artistic agency Al Aire Libra and with the contribution of sponsors The Pool Marbella, Grupo Mosh and Land Rover (C Salamanca).
The foundation will match sale values up to a maximum of €5000, but if the maximum target of €25.000 is achieved the Mediolanum Foundation will donate an additional €10.000. Adding further value to this fantastic fundraising event.

The funds will go directly towards helping families affected by Butterfly Skin: a rare, painful and currently incurable disease that means that their skin is as fragile as the wings of a butterfly.
The objective of the foundation is to create a network, promoting social commitment between charities, clients and the Mediolanum bank: making a real and tangible impact on society in Spain. Small gestures, great efforts and good intentions combine to make positive change and in the current economic climate this is needed now more than ever before.
This exciting event will take place on the 18th of April with an art exhibition at The Pool Marbella and a dinner at Mosh Fun Kitchen (by invitation).
The evening will be a wonderful combination of art and solidarity, raising essential funding, thanks to the generosity of 11 amazing artists who have joined together, donating works of art worth thousands of euros.
The contributing artists are: Arturo Elena, Daniel Martín, Darko, Elena Camacho, Ingrid Haubrich, Jesús del Peso, Marta Bernad, Iker Muro, Paula Vincenti y Santiago Picatoste.
At the end of the evening on the 18th April we will reveal the total amount raised for DEBRA the Butterfly Children Charity.

Una de cada 227 personas somos portadoras del gen defectuoso que provoca la enfermedad, por lo que esta puede irrumpir en cualquier familia de forma inesperada. La Asociación Piel de Mariposa (DEBRA España) es una organización sin ánimo de lucro que trabaja para mejorar la calidad de vida de los afectados y sus familias. Imagine not being able to hug your baby because you are afraid of hurting it. Because it was born with a rare genetic condition called Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) also known as Butterfly Skin. An incurable condition that causes blisters and wounds with the slightest touch. The skin is as fragile as the wings of a butterfly. DEBRA, the Butterfly Children Charity is a non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of life of those affected and their families.
