OMUKISA water. The children of Omukisa already have water but they still lack € to pay the pending bills.
Help us build a well in Uganda with local material and local labor to supply safe drinking water to these children and families.

1. What will we do with your help?
Build a well and with solar energy captured with photovoltaic panels, feed the pump that allows to extract the water. We will store this water in a tank and use gravity to distribute it.
2. Who benefits from your donations?
- 50 children from the Omukisa reception center in Iganga (Uganda). 25 of them live permanently in the center, the others go to Omukisa during the day.
- 100 members of the surrounding community.
3. How do they benefit?
All of them will go from not having water to being able to have safe drinking water for FREE and WHENEVER they need it.
4. When?
May: If we raise enough funds, start construction.
June: Construction completes
5. What do we use your donation for?
- The first 8,655€ are intended for obtaining water.
- The following 500€ will help filter the water.
- The following 5,340€ will allow the construction of the storage and distribution system.
- If we reach the goal, the volunteers will be able to travel to Uganda to supervise the work.

If we exceed the objective, there are many actions to be carried out in the area. The extra money will be used, in the following order, to:

Finance potential setbacks.

Implement the wastewater treatment system to comply with the IWRM (Integrated Water Resources Management) approach of the project.

Carry out training activities for the minors of the Omukisa center with the aim of improving their technological skills.

Fund other actions of the NGOs in Uganda.
6. Who are we?
Anna and Blanca, two industrial engineering students doing our final degree project. We wanted to carry out a final degree project that would allow us to help those who need it most by applying our knowledge. Living for others is what moves us.
This project is carried out with the support of the Spanish NGO Petits Detalls and the Ugandan NGO PECA women and children's foundation.
