Running for Memories – Seville Marathon 2027

On 21 February 2027, I'll be taking on the Zurich Seville Marathon, running 42.2 kilometres (26.2 miles) through the streets of Seville, Spain, to raise money for Alzheimer's research.

This challenge is particularly close to my heart.

My grandmother lived with Alzheimer's disease for 10 years, and I know first-hand the devastating impact this illness can have, not only on the person living with it, but also on the family and loved ones around them.

Alzheimer's gradually takes away so many of the things we often take for granted — memories, independence and the ability to recognise the people closest to us. Watching someone you love experience this is something that stays with you.

That's why I've chosen to support Fundación CITA Alzheimer, a research foundation dedicated to improving our understanding of Alzheimer's disease, advancing early detection and exploring ways to prevent and treat it.

Running has become a huge part of my life, and I wanted to use something I'm passionate about to make a positive difference.

I'll be personally contributing the first €300 towards this fundraiser, and I'm hoping that with the support of friends, family and anyone who would like to contribute, we can raise even more for this important cause.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help support research that could make a real difference to future generations.

I'll be running every kilometre in memory of my grandmother, for the families affected by Alzheimer's today, and for the hope of a future where fewer people have to experience what so many families have already been through.
