We are reaching out on behalf of Global Vets Aid, an organization deeply committed to making a positive impact on the lives of both dogs and humans.
This is a collaborative project, a continuation of the one carried out in February 2022, aimed at rabies vaccination as well as performing sterilizations and other preventive treatments for stray dogs or pets of people with limited resources living in the impoverished bateyes of the Dominican Republic. Also collaborate in health education and awareness under 'One Health' concept to make life better for both animals and people."
In empoverished Los Bateyes of the Dominican Republic, the issue of rabies, overpopulation of dogs, and lack of preventive care is a serious concern that poses a threat to the well-being of our communities. Our mission is clear: we aim to prevent rabies, provide essential care, and promote sterilization among the dog population to create a safer and healthier environment for all under the concept ONE HEALTH.
By supporting our cause, you can directly contribute to saving lives and preventing the spread of this deadly disease. Your donation will enable us to:
1. *Vaccinate Against Rabies:* Your contribution will help us provide rabies vaccinations to dogs in high-risk areas, reducing the risk of transmission to humans.
2. *Promote Preventive Care:* We will work to educate pet owners about the importance of regular veterinary care and provide low-cost or free preventive services.
3. *Sterilization Campaigns:* Our organization conducts sterilization campaigns to control the dog population, which is a humane and effective way to reduce strays and their suffering.
