This July, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Jaipur, India, with Cooperating Volunteers to collaborate on a truly special project: an orphanage-school that is changing lives in one of the most needy neighborhoods. Today, I want to share with you why this project is so important and how your help can make a significant difference.
The center was born as an orphanage, but being located in a slum without educational facilities, children from nearby areas began to approach when they saw others learning and participating in activities. The director, with a huge heart, decided to integrate them into the classes. Nowadays, many children from the neighborhood, who cannot afford school fees, come to the orphanage-school to learn, eat, and spend the day.
The children at the center need love, attention, care, and, above all, education. In such a challenging environment, education becomes a fundamental tool for community development.
As volunteers, our role is to assist in teaching subjects like English and mathematics, as well as organizing activities that are essential for their emotional and social growth.
My goal is to create the best possible environment for these children to develop fully and reach their potential. But to achieve this, I need your support. I am raising funds to ensure that the orphanage-school has the necessary resources to provide quality education, nutritious meals, and a safe and loving environment.
Your donations will go directly towards purchasing educational materials, food, and improvements to the orphanage-school facilities. Every small contribution adds up and translates into a better future for these children.
