Winston Sanctuary is a place where horses rescued from abandonment and abuse can finally live as horses.
For more than 14 years, we have built this project day by day. Over 300 animals have passed through the sanctuary. Today, more than sixty equines live here permanently, together and in freedom.
But the sanctuary, as it exists today, is not sustainable.
The horses are spread across several rented properties, kilometers apart. This means high costs, complex day-to-day management and, above all, the uncertainty of not having a place of their own where they can stay forever.
That is why we now need to take the most important step in our history: securing a property that will become their permanent home.
A place where they can all live together, in herds, in freedom. A place that does not depend on others. A place that is truly theirs.
This new space will not only improve their wellbeing, but also allow us to build a project with a future: a place where we can develop educational initiatives, open the sanctuary to society, and create new ways to ensure its long-term sustainability.
Our goal is to raise €600,000, which will go towards acquiring the land, preparing the space and relocating the animals.
We know we cannot do this alone.
