A SYMBOLIC RUN FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Hope you are keeping well.
Hereby, i'm letting you know that i'm participating in the Marathon of Valencia on December 4th, 2022. I will be running a symbolic content to raise awareness as well as money for the greater good.
Why is that?
Last year, in December 2021, i was diagnosed with a stage two chondrosarcoma in my left knee. A rare and aggressive type of cancer that begins in the bones. I was lucky they discovered it in the early stages and after a heavy surgery + intense recovery period I was finally able to go outside again, 6 months later, at the beginning of June, 2022. At the same time i got in touch with The Migranodearena foundation. A non-lucrative organization that connects people, companies and ngo's through innovative projects. We were in touch in regards to social cause inspired campaigns with an adventurous/sporty background and when they introduced me to the idea of running a Marathon on behalf of the Gasol Foundation i got super excited!
Throughout my recovery period I was eager to start moving again as soon as possible and when I became aware of the Marathon in Valencia I couldn’t imagine a more symbolic challenge to myself.
Running a Marathon 12 months after my diagnosis will probably be my biggest challenge to date. And what better than to squeeze in an element of solidarity to create awareness around a cause that is so close to my heart.
The Gasol Foundation is on a mission to tackle the complex issue of child health issues such as obesity, cancer and others. They aim to eradicate these issues through research and education. Exercise, eating habits and emotional well-being all contribute to a healthy lifestyle. All these aspects are core to preparing for a Marathon and core to my existence. That’s why I see a super authentic and organic connection between the Foundation, the Marathon and myself.
Beyond the sense of achievement that I will get from finishing this symbolic and beautiful race, running on behalf of Gasol will give me an additional feeling of purpose.
I hope you’ll join me in creating awareness and raising as much as possible in order to change children’s lives. Not only will your donation be greatly appreciated. I also encourage you to share it with your friends and network, on socials or via mouth. All aid is super helpful and will add up to the best possible outcome.
There's two different ways to donate depending on the amount. If you keep the amount between 0€ and 99€ you can just donate through a quick donation, without having to sign up. If you prefer to donate 100€ or higher, you should sign up first, as a company (including your VAT number) or as a person (by bank transfer for foreigners – by including your NIE ID number for Spanish residents).
