The Calanova Cancer Care Charity Shop is on the main road Joan Miro in San Agustin opposite the Calanova Sailing School.

There is easy parking right outside the shop and it is open from...10am to 6pm in the week and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays. We accept donations of unwanted clothes, bric-a-brac and furniture in good condition, sell it in the shop and give the money to the Cancer Charities on the Island.

This November we will have been open 5 years which is something we are very proud of and is cause for a small celebration ...many of the girls who started then are still helping and we are  in touch with  most others . 100 metres up the road direction Palma we have  acquired a  new shop just for furniture which is proving very popular...

We are a group of around twenty five ladies, of various ages and nationalities, all with the same desire to help people with Cancer. The Shop has been open since Nov 2011 and so far has donated nearly  200.000 euros to date to help people with Cancer in the Baleares.

After paying rent and expenses, 100% of all money taken on donations made to the shop is given to the AECC (Spanish Association of Cancer Care) and ASPANOB (which is the Association for Children with Cancer and their parents) both charities give tremendous help to those with Cancer and both are in Palma Mallorca.

This year we were honoured to receive an Award from AECC for our help over the past 5 years.

The Cancer Support Group who suport Mallorcan International Residents also receive our help for their work with helping people in all aspects with Cancer.

We also give to the  Palliative Care Association DIME  who help in Son Espases, Clinica Juan March and The Hospital General in Palma. We have helped with the reformation of  both patients lounges with new furniture and also putting new terrace furniture.  Also  a  special sun awning has been ordered and will be fitted in April 2017 at the Hospital General off the Via Roma.

Over the past 5 years we have organised various events including several summer Fashion Shows, a few Fun Casino nights and an annual Christmas Lunch which have always been very well attended and help to raise the amount of donations that we are able to make to the  Cancer Charities on the Island.

Each year we have organised  a Coffee Morning with help from our friends at the Aqua Beach Hotel who have kindly offered their premises to help us form part of the MacMillan World Wide Coffee Morning.

We have been lucky enough to receive some very generous prizes for the raffle and auction which are held at the events.

Of course we are always looking for donations of good bric-a-brac..... jewellery…clothes….furniture in good order and if anyone has any spare time to help in the shop a few hours a week or a month or has a van to help with pickups they would be so very welcome.

You can find us on Facebook and our web site is ---calanovacancer.com--- where you may see where we are and the tel no of the shop is 971 708 664

Remember after expenses, 100% of what we collect is given to the charities so no one gets paid anything. It is all for a very good cause and we are absolutely delighted and very grateful when people donate things or offer to help in anyway.
