Hi havia una vegada... uns nens i Pirena 2012.
Aquest hivern m’he proposat assolir un gran repte: participar i acabar Pirena 2012. És la meva manera de celebrar els meus 40 anys. En lloc de córrer una marató sola, prefereixo travessar els Pirineus en companyia dels meus gossos, els meus millors amics. I vosaltres, es clar!
Aquest somni va començar fa uns dotze anys amb els Campionats del Món de Mushing Infantil on vaig treballar, i on gràcies als nens em vaig enamorar d’una manera de viure com és el mushing, no només pel que fa a l’esport, sinó pel que fa a compartir el dia a dia amb els meus meravellosos companys d’aventura, els meus gossos, els meus amics, treballant en equip en plena natura. És per això que vull compartir aquest repte i aquesta aventura amb ells, amb els nens, sense qui no hauria trobat el meu camí, ni el meu lloc, on ara sóc tan feliç.
M’agradaria tornar-los el favor que em van fer. I és per això que us necessito a tots. Com us he dit aquest any he fet 40 anys, i en altres circumstàncies queda molt lleig demanar regals. Però per aquesta vegada crec que està justificat. VULL QUE EM FEU UN REGAL! I vull que m’animeu a assolir el meu repte. I només hi ha una manera, fent una donació.
Vinga, això és un treball d’equip, no? I què és el múixing si no? Un treball d’equip! Així doncs, podem treballar com els nostres gossos? ES CLAR QUE SÍ!
Què en faré de les donacions que em feu? Doncs les ajuntaré totes i les faré arribar a la Fundació Contes pel Món, qui fa una tasca cultural molt important per als nens de Moçambic, que quasi no tenen recursos. I quina millor manera de portar els regals que fer-ho mitjançant l’esport preferit del Pare Noël? Cada donació que feu l’aniré posant al sac del meu trineu i espero que, quan arribi al final de Pirena 2012 a La Molina, el meu sac estigui ben ple.

Érase una vez... unos niños y Pirena 2012.
Este invierno me he propuesto un gran reto: participar y terminar Pirena 2012. Es mi forma de celebrar mis 40 años. En lugar de correr una maratón yo sola, prefiero atravesar los Pirineos en compañía de mis perros, mis mejores amigos. Y de vosotros, ¡claro!
Este sueño empezó hace unos doce años con los Campeonatos del Mundo de Mushing Infantil, donde trabajé, y donde fue gracias a los niños que me enamoré de una forma de vida como es el mushing, no solo en lo que al deporte se refiere, sino por lo que supone compartir el día a día con mis maravillosos compañeros de aventura, mis perros, mis amigos, trabajando en equipo en plena naturaleza. Es por todo esto que quiero compartir este reto y esta aventura con ellos, con los niños, sin los que no habría encontrado mi camino ni mi sitio, donde ahora soy tan feliz.
Me gustaría devolverles el favor que me hicieron. Y es por esto que os necesito a todos. Como ya os he dicho, este año he cumplido 40, y en otras circunstancias es muy feo pedir regalos. Pero esta vez creo que está justificado. ¡QUIERO QUE ME HAGAIS UN REGALO! Y quiero que me deis fuerzas para conseguir mi reto. Y solamente hay una manera, haciendo una donación.
Venga, ¿esto es un trabajo de equipo, no? Y que es el mushing? ¡Un trabajo de equipo! Así pues, ¿podemos trabajar como nuestros perros? ¡CLARO QUE SÍ!
¿Qué haré con las donaciones que hagáis? Pues las juntaré todas y las haré llegar a la Fundación Cuentos para el Mundo y su proyecto “Un niño, un cuento”. Hacen una labor cultural muy importante para los niños de Mozambique, quienes apenas tienen recursos. Y qué mejor forma de llevarles las donaciones que hacerlo mediante el deporte favorito de Papá Noel? Cada donación que hagáis la iré metiendo en el saco de mi trineo y espero que cuando llegue al final de Pirena 2012 en La Molina, mi saco esté llenísimo.

Once upon a time… there were some kids and Pirena 2012.
This next winter I’m doing a great challenge: participate and finish Pirena 2012. This is my way to celebrate my 40th birthday. Instead of running a marathon on my own, I prefer crossing the Pyrenees in company of my dogs, my best friends. And you, of course!
This dream began twelve years ago in the Junior Mushing World Championship where I worked at, and where thanks to those children who were running, I felt in love with this way of live, not only as a sport, but also for what it means to share everyday life with my wonderful colleagues of adventure, my dogs, my friends, working as a team in the nature. It’s because of that that I want to share my challenge with them, the children, without who I would haven’t found my way of life and my place where I’m so happy.
I would like to give them back the same favour. And because of that I need all the help you can give me. As I’ve told you, this year is my 40th birthday, and in other circumstances it will be impolite asking for presents. But for this time I think it’s fair to ask for them: I WANT A PRESENT FROM YOU! And I would like to feel all the strength from you to achieve my goal. And there is only one way to reach it, doing a donation of money.
Come on this is a team work, doesn’t it? And what is mushing? A Team Work! So, can we work as our dogs? YES, OF COURSE!
What I will do with all your donations? I will put all of them together and I will bring them to the Stories for the World Foundation and its project “No child without tales”. This Foundation is doing an important cultural work for the children of Mozambique who have no means of support. And what better way than bringing to them all your donations by the favourite sport of Santa Klaus? I will keep in my sled bag each donation you do, and I hope it will be full when I finish Pirena 2012 in La Molina.
